The vocal trio of Carnie & Wendy Wilson (daughters of Beach Boy Brian Wilson and first wife Marilyn Wilson-Rutherford of The Honeys) and Chynna Phillips (daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of The Mama's and the Papa's). They broke through to enormous success with their debut album, Wilson Phillips (produced by Glenn Ballard), selling over 10 million copies worldwide. The follow-up, Shadows and Light, was released in the spring of 1992, selling over 2 million copies. After a decade of activity apart that included solo and duo albums, marriages, kids, touring, a talk show ("Carnie") and movie roles, the trio re-grouped in 2003 to record an album of songs encapsulating the California sounds of the 60's and 70's. The album California was released in May of 2004, rekindling the vocal blend that made them so unique and proving their staying power. There are more projects in the works for Wilson Phillips in the near future.
